Meet Fred the Artist

The Artist - Fred Nocella

Welcome to Fred Nocella’s gallery. We hope you enjoy these pieces as much as we do. Here’s a little backstory to how this all started.

Fred is a roofer in South Philadelphia that owns his own roofing company. He has always had a love for trap and target shooting as a recreational hobby.

Years ago, while driving down the highway, Fred noticed a truck in front of him that had a 4’ pipe wrench welded and slid into his hitch receiver as decoration demonstrating his profession. This is what gave Fred his inspiration to create the hitch art you see today.

Fred made his first trailer hitch art resembling a shotgun in his garage in South Philly. He used regular steel from the left-over parts of an old 66 Chevy stake body truck. He has since refined his hitch art by switching to all stainless steel.

Because of the demand and the interest generated by his art, Fred decided to create a new business, Lil’Nutz. He chose this name because of the little acorn nuts he uses on all his pieces.

Today his art has been shipped all over the USA. He now offers several styles of hitch art, racks, fire pokers, weathervanes, and even live edge tables. They are all unique one of a kind pieces that have a great conversation starting effect.

Don’t hesitate to contact Fred with any questions or special requests. He is always willing to work with you in creating your own work of art for your truck, ATV, side by side, shop, garage, or man cave.
